Floom

Launch film — concept POCs

Standalone visual concepts for three moments in the film, so you can pick a direction from pictures. These are concept clips only, not edits to the film comps. Cool brand palette, Floom mark, no fabricated numbers.

Moment 1 · L07
“Two months later, we're launching Floom.”
A stylized time-motif for the two months of building. Two options below — a filling calendar, or a git contribution graph.
Locked · 1aCalendar filling
Two months of days sweep by and fill, June flips to July. Premium, minimal, editorial. Chosen for L07 — both reviewers picked it.
Not chosen · 1bCommit graph
A contribution grid fills with momentum, green shifting to brand blue. Off-brand green + GitHub trope — not chosen.
Locked: Calendar (1a) is the L07 winner.

Gemini 3.1 Pro
Pick: 1a Calendar  ·  Calendar 92 Commits 60
Aligns with the premium, editorial, brand-blue aesthetic; 1b introduces off-brand green and copy that duplicates the caption.
Codex (GPT-5)
Pick: 1a Calendar  ·  Calendar 89 Commits 76
More premium and cooler; the June→July flip is literally “two months” without importing off-brand green or GitHub-trope energy.
Moment 2 · L03 / L04 low point
“…back to the manual work we did.”
After OpenClaw broke: the polished agent UI dies and dissolves into a cold manual spreadsheet, typed by hand, row by row. Deflating — the opposite of the warm dream.
2Automation dies → manual grindv2
v2, review notes applied: first frame cooled to neutral-cold (no warm near-black); fewer & larger fields; the blue typing caret is now the hero; humanized variable-pace typing with a deliberate backspace-correction, and the grind piles up to four full rows by the end (was ~1.5).
v2 lands the low point — cold, deflating, the grind visibly piles up.

Gemini 3.1 Pro 88
Keep. The three-beat arc — warm autonomous dream → cold “connection lost” → glaring manual spreadsheet — is emotionally resonant; the stark dark-to-white contrast underscores the pain point. Push it further with painstakingly human typing (variable keystroke pacing, a deliberate backspace) to twist the knife.
Codex (GPT-5) 88
Improve. Keep the arc — it reads clearly. Refine by cooling the first frame away from warm near-black, reducing the spreadsheet to fewer, larger fields, and making the typed cursor/row progression the hero of the tedium.
Moment 3 · L10 / product beats
“They run autonomously in the background.”
The foreground is empty and calm — you're away — while a minimized worker chip keeps running, pulsing and progressing on its own.
3Working while you're awayv2
v2, review notes applied: the center now reads as an intentional success/at-ease state — “You're away — Floom's got it” — not a dead app. The worker chip is larger, centered and earlier, right on the caption sightline (no longer a far corner). It gets an entrance pulse and a completion pulse, ending on an honest “handed back · ready for you when you return” (no fabricated 100% metric).
v2 reads as success — the chip anchors the autonomous work near the caption.

Gemini 3.1 Pro 75
Improve. The minimal layout communicates “background” well, but the central “Nothing to do here right now” risks reading as a dead app before the eye finds the corner chip. Make the away-state an intentional success state (e.g. “All tasks handled”), and give the chip an entrance pulse to anchor attention on the autonomous work.
Codex (GPT-5) 82
Improve. Keep the concept — empty foreground plus a progressing chip reads as background autonomy. Improve legibility: make the chip appear earlier, slightly larger, closer to the caption sightline, with one subtle completion pulse so “nothing to do here” never reads as “nothing is happening.”
